IBM STUDENTS WON THE IIBD NEW BUSINESS VENTURE BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION 2007 IN HONG KONG
Four of our senior Assumption University business students entered the International Institute for Business Development (IIBD) New Business Venture Competition 2007 in Hong Kong by submitting their business plan for Green Industries, a distributor and service firm providing pure air solutions to poultry farms in China. They had been working on the business plan since April 2007, were notified that they were one of the 5 shortlisted finalists in August and made their public presentation on 5 October 2007 in Hong Kong before a tough panel of judges. Their dedicated effort and the quality of their work earned them the three top awards including:
Best Written Business Plan
Best Presenter (Andrew Hosakul)
Gold Prize 1st Place
The competitive climate was exceptional, with finalist teams from distinguished universities in the Asia region, including Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (HKSAR), Hong Kong Baptist University (HKSAR), and Sun Yat-sen University (Mainland China). CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR TEAM!
